Paint Correction, Measured

Cernobbio (Lake Como)

From a weekend car's wash marring to a full three-stage correction, every job begins with a gauge, not a guess.

We read each panel's clear coat before a pad touches it, decide how much can safely come off, and write it on the job sheet you take home.

Most corrections take two to five days. The car leaves with its readings, before and after, panel by panel.

Inspection & paint readings

One to three stages, every panel read before and after. Swirls, holograms and sanding marks out; the clear coat stays.

Machine paint correction

At NACRE, every job begins with readings.

We read each panel's clear coat before a pad touches it, decide how much can safely come off, and write it on the job sheet you take home.

How it works

Inspection & paint readings

Every panel is read in four to eight places with a calibrated gauge. We photograph defects under a swirl light and agree a target before work begins.

Decontamination

Iron, tar and bonded contamination come off chemically and with clay, so the pads only ever work on clean paint.

Cutting stage

Heavier defects — sanding marks, deep swirls — are levelled with a controlled cut, panel by panel, re-reading as we go.

Refining & jewelling

A finishing polish brings back clarity. The last step is slow, low-pressure work that turns a clean panel into a mirror.

Hand-off sheet

You receive the readings, the before/after photographs and our advice on whether a coating or film should follow.

Cars we correct

/ Correction at NACRE /

Classic and modern, daily and dormant. Each one gets the same gauge and the same patience.

Every car is approached individually, with close attention to originality, condition and how it will be used.

  • Pre-war and post-war classics
  • Single-stage and early two-stage paints
  • Modern hypercars and limited series
  • Fresh resprays needing flatting
  • Matte and satin finishes (by hand)
  • Concours and auction candidates
  • Cars returning from storage

Some projects stay intentionally private. Others are back on the passes the week after handover.

Results that keep the car's character

Correction is never about removing as much as possible. It is about removing exactly what is needed, and stopping.

A finish built this way keeps its depth after the first wash, after the first summer, after the first pass over the Stelvio.
